Will Trent - You're the Worst Person in the World / One of Us Now
Playing off a traumatized Will Trent (Ramón Rodríguez) dealing with the events of "Best of Your Recollection," we get a two-part episode that centers around a series of mysterious deaths that link up to a cult known as Olas Collective. Before getting proper approval, Will attends one of their meetings opening up to an edited version of events which gives him an opportunity to go undercover into a wilderness compound and search for both a killer and a stolen baby (all while getting the opportunity to not have to deal with his everyday life).
If I have a complaint between the two episodes its the whiplash-inducing speed the show goes from a helpful trauma-solving collective to a group of batshit crazies in the second episode. I think a little of the nuance from "You're the Worst Person in the World," which does show how their methods can be effective, could have been used rather than just tying up Will and others and drugging them or waterboarding them to get their way. That said, drugged-out Will does have a fun psychedelic experience before being rescued by Angie (Erika Christensen).
In various other threads, Will's relationship with Marion (Gina Rodriguez) hits a rough patch as he resents her attempts to make him feel better about himself after the shooting (although by the end of "One of Us Now" it appears they are back on track). Faith (Iantha Richardson) and Will get back on the same page about her son. And Will meets Angie's new boyfriend (Scott Foley) as her relationship with the doctor advances to another level.
