Usagi Yojimbo: Ten Thousand Plums #2
Usagi Yojimbo: Ten Thousand Plums #2 picks up at the moment the first issue ended with Gen, Miyamoto Usagi and Yukichi, having been stopped by the Shogun's men, hearing cries which lead them to a field of bodies and the only living witness being a young girl too stunned to explain what she saw (or so our wanderers believe). We'll get more uncertainty from our travelers, who are still quick enough to jump into action, but it will appear to be at least one more issue before they become aware just what story is unfolding here.
Agreeing to stay in town to help, although without haggling over payment (which draws Gen's ire) the trio discover the murderer is already at large in the village (even if they fail to guess what form she has taken). They don't know yet who their enemy is, or why the shapeshifting fox has reason to wish vengeance on the entire village and those who turned their backs on her in a time of need.
