NCIS: Origins - From the Ashes
The rape and murder of a sailor brings Tish's (Tonantzin Carmelo) case back in prominence as Franks (Kyle Schmid) wrongly assumes it's the same man. Both cases eventually work themselves out with NIS solving the relatively simple case of the new killing, but in learning about Tish they decide to help Franks find the evidence needed to put the FBI's latest suspect away. Gibbs (Austin Stowell), with his own history of vengeance and revenge, acts as a voice of reason for Franks talking him down from taking the law into his own hands. While the episode closes the loop on this story, it doesn't mean a happy ending for Franks as Tish chooses to leave and find the peace which has illuded her.
