Leverage: Redemption - The Weekend in Paris Job

Season Three of Leverage: Redemption opens with a simple job involving the theft of a Russian gangster's golden owl statue that leads the crew to hide out at a posh party full of criminal oligarchs auctioning off natural resources amongst each other where they find a new case worth pursuing. The host of the gathering is Arizona Mike who is stealing water from a small town and selling it to the highest bidder. He's also got one of his victims locked up in his empty vault.

With nothing to steal, Hardison (Aldis Hodge in his early obligatory episode before disappearing again) hacks their accounts making them suspicious that they are being watched by the authorities. This leads to Mike's guests putting their own treasures up for aution which fills up the vault and allows the con to begin which will eventually frame their host and turn all the guests against Mike.

We get more check-in than subplot with Harry (Noah Wyle) who tracks down the stolen water and keeps it from leaving the states (almost of of which takes place off camera). Breanna (Aleyse Shannon) isn't involved in the episode, but will be back to swap in for Hardison in the season's second episode. Injured and a bit slowed down, Eliot (Christian Kane) nevertheless still is formidable and the inclusion of Hardison in "The Weekend Paris Job" allows for some classic Eliot and Hardison interactions which we don't get much of these days as well as a fun moment with Hardison and Parker (Beth Riesgraf) in the catacombs below the vault.
