Will Trent - This Kid's Gonna Be Alright
"This Kid's Gonna Be Alight" is most notable for the show's epilogue. In investigating a murder of a rapper, Will (Ramón Rodríguez) and Faith (Iantha Richardson) begin investigating the studio which is a front for Rafael Wexford (Antwayn Hopper) to launder money and happens to be the same studio where Faith's son Jeremy (Deion Smith) is working. Attempting to prove himself to Rafael, and keep his job after the GBI insinuate themselves into his business once more, Jeremy makes the biggest mistake of his life which provides Will only a single option to save the young man's future (and also, coincidentally, push forward Will's investigation into Rafael and his current activities).
I would expect to see the fallout of Jeremy's mistake, and Will's temporary fix, to be seen over the remainder of the season (and possibly beyond). As for Angie (Erika Christensen), she nearly screws up her relationship with Dr. Seth (Scott Foley) before it really gets started before finding an all-too-cute way to apologize that also allows the doctor to provide information about a victim asphyxiated in a sex club and the true manner of her death. Much like the main story, the character interactions overshadow the case of the week which is really just a placeholder to allow larger storylines to advance.
