Will Trent - Abigail B.
Arresting a man (John Ales) involved in child trafficking, Will (Ramón Rodríguez) and the GBI with the help of Marion (Gina Rodriguez) work to find the missing girl before she disappears forever. The ticking clock adds tension, as does Will's guilt over not acting sooner and discovering the girl's abduction too late. The major piece of the interrogation involves a bit of deception by Faith (Iantha Richardson) and the group into giving the man the immunity asked for, but not quite when or how he expected. While being helpful in the case to successfully trick the suspect, Marion plays a big role. However, the show doesn't gloss over her recent trauma and incorporates that into the ongoing story.
Our local cop B-stories are unusual given both have romantic implications. Angie (Erika Christensen) gets a new romantic interest in a doctor (Scott Foley) she helps after a hit-and-run. In his attempt to pick up some easy money working security, Ormewood's (Jake McLaughlin) day gets only crazier after being maced in the face. He's day involves a missing addict (Kosha Patel) who owes money to the wrong people, a male fantasy of a social influencer (Ariana Madix), in a wild adventure that's so far over-the-top you expect at any moment the entire scenario to be revealed as a dream.
