Darkwing Duck #1
A new Darkwing Duck comic kicks off here with part one of a twelve-part storyline involving Darkwing Duck, shortly after his adoption of Gosalyn, searching for an arch-nemesis... and also fighting crime. In Darkwing Duck #1 we get Darkwing taking on Megavolt who has stolen a super-battery and heads to the carnival to charge it leading to a run-in with Launchpad and Gosalyn (who should be in bed). Despite the "Year One" moniker, the comic is taking place after Darkwing, Launchpad, and Gosalyn are brought together and after he's had multiple run-ins with super-villains (even if he still has to remind them of his name). Still, it's a fun early adventure for the character.
Although none of the covers for the comic wowed me, the art and story inside are both solid including Darkwing's attempt to convince an uncooperating Megavolt to be his arch-nemesis. He's pleas may have fallen on deaf ears, but Darkwing is able to take down the villain and retrieve the battery.
