Justice League Unlimited #2
The initial arc of the new Justice League Unlimited comic continues. In Costa Rica, Superman leads a team of Wonder Woman, Mary Marvel, Star Sapphire, Martian Manhunter, Black Lightning, and Dr. Occult against Parademons. A wounded Batman arrives with even graver news about stolen children, sending some of the team after the Parademon nest and others in search of the kids.
The follow up to the first issues is fine, although Parademons aren't all that interesting on their own (despite attempts to make them feel like large threats in the absence of Darkseid). On the plus side, the comic does give us some fun pairings. I enjoyed Mary Marvel and Wonder Woman working together to destroy the nest, and the pairing of two unusual detectives in Dr. Occult and J'onn also reveals some troubles for the Martian Manhunter missing some of his powers and having a fair shorter temper that explodes
Speaking of missing powers, in Singapore Atom Smasher and two Atoms work on retrieving stolen super-powers which apparently is going to launch into their own comic. Okay, but can we do something about these new costumes?
