Batman: Dark Patterns #2
As Batman: Dark Patterns my interest is leaning more to the art than the story. The second issue of the twelve-issue maxi-series offers the return and capture of the self-mutilated killer we saw in Batman: Dark Patterns #1 who Batman successfully captures. However, due to the incompetence of the coroner who Batman warned Gordon about in the first issue the character (who really only had a single-issue shelf-life for me) may be sticking around even longer.
The other aspect of Batman: Dark Patterns #2 is the larger mystery which ties back to Ace Chemicals teasing perhaps a Joker connection at some point in the story (if perhaps a minor one). I've ready for the Wound Man to be done, and so far the Ace storyline is a little hit-and-miss for me, but I do appreciate the comic continuing the highlight the investigative side of Batman. Thankfully, I'm quite enjoying the art of the series so far highlighting my favorite version of the Dark Knight Detective in some fun panels.
