Taking place entirely in the Gotham City Public Library, The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #11 features both Mystery, Inc. and Commissioner Gordon stopping by on his daughter Barbara's first day at the library. The first day turns out to be an eventful one when Grotesque and some of henchmen dressed up as ghosts arrive. The ghosts, in simple sheets, are pretty low-tech for for a Scooby story and the structure of the tale doesn't leave room for some of the basic Scooby-Doo beats.
What the comic does offer is a nice Babs-centric issue where she uses her skills without a costume (and without a computer after it gets fried by the villain's electrical powers). Sadly, there's not much for the Scooby Gang to do here as Barbara takes control of the situation early on, even tricky the detectives to keep them out of danger, and does all the hard work herself including capturing the villain.
