Following the same format of the previous issues, Jenny Sparks #4 splits time with another Jenny Sparks flashback (this one dealing with the Spirit of the 20th Century taking out some aggression on corporate greed contributing to the housing crash of the late 2000s) and her present situation still attempting to talk down the deranged would-be god who just knocked off the Justice League.
While the Captain Atom story is still interesting, and has some standout moments including Jenny letting Captain Atom know who she is, at four issues in I want to see this story progress more than it has. As for the flashback, again it's perfectly fine to highlight who Jenny Sparks is and the kinds of actions she might take over another hero but this one doesn't feel connected to the overall storyline the main story is attempting to tell and doesn't offer anything new. Is it still good? Am I still interested? Sure, but I'm going to need to see some serious story progression in the next issue.
