Nights #11

A change of pace, Nights #11 offers a series of short vignettes from different authors and writers all on the world of Nights, some of which are more clear than others. "Night Flight," the most straightforward of the stories, offers a silent tale of Gray around town taking pictures of everything from a wedding to being attacked by a monster.

"The Secret Life of Orvyn" gives us odd happenings in the woods over several years which ties in a bit with "Bedtime Story," which is just that with a mother telling her child about the miracle of Yona. Both are a bit cryptic in what their tales mean for our regular characters.

"Night of the Bad Kids" is an unusual choice where we see inventory night at a Blockbuster interrupted by some unruly kids and a ghost whose final business was to return a tape. And in "Nights in White Satin" we get Matt's final day before leaving for Japan. What starts as a nostalgic farewell quickly provides plenty of reason to get out of town.
