Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Black, White & Green #4

The anthology series in black, white, and green returns for another issue with four separate stories taking place in different times and versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' history. My favorite of the bunch is the humorous "Shredder Gets Caught on Things" which features Michelangelo highlighting Shredder getting caught on things over the years in comics, movies, and TV (often with deadly results). Every one of the flashbacks shown in various styles of the original it references.

"Legends" offers a bedtime story for the Turtles as children with Splinter telling them about four turtles who protected their forest friends from a storm, teaching them lessons they would live their lives by. "The Book of Splinter" features a disagreement between Shredder and a robot Foot Soldier about how his master's plans to take down the Turtles will ultimately all fail. I'll admit having a hard time following this one, with it likely referencing an arc I'm unaware of (or have forgotten). And finally, "Does This Android Dream of Electric Sheep?" offers a first-person adventure during Donatello's time as a cyborg questioning his role with his brothers in his current state.
