LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy - Part One

Shaking up LEGO Star Wars and mixing and matching to create something new, the first episode of the four-part mini-series LEGO: Star Wars: Rebuilds the Galaxy introduces us to brothers Sig (Gaten Matarazzo) and Dev (Tony Revolori) whose discovery of a Jedi Temple on Fennesa leads the outgoing brother to needle Sig into removing a block from the temple, shattering it (and all of reality). Although neither Sig nor Dev offer much in the way of interesting characters, they do the job into getting the ball rolling. Once Sig emerges from the ruins of the temple, everything has changed.

Still on his homeworld, Sig finds out the Empire is still in power with Clone Troopers who are apparently all clones of Ackbar (Trevor Devall). A friend from his village is a Rebel, and learning of Sig's Force sensitivity Yesi (Marsai Martin) enlists his help leading to the discovery that his brother, who like Yesi doesn't recognize him, is now a Sith. The episode will tease one more main character of the series, but it will make us wait for a proper introduction to Jedi Bob (Bobby Moynihan).

As you would expect, the first episode is a little heavy on setup having to present Sig's actual world before getting around to rearranging it. There is some fun in Sig recapping the Star Wars movies to kick off the episode in an enjoyable montage, but most of the fun comes after he emerges from the temple seeing how his world was transformed as the remaining three episodes promise even larger changes to the wide galaxy which he has always been fascinated by but never dared venture to.
