With the origin story of how Jan and Jace started working with Space Ghost complete, the series moves on to the three fighting evil together. We see some early frustration from Space Ghost to how cavalier the youngsters but they'll step up before the issue is done. The main story involves Space Ghost making a deal with the unscrupulous Widow who plans out a heist of Robo Corp which would allow Space Ghost, Jan, and Jace all to get some some intelligence on, and some payback for, the company that destroyed all of their lives.
What our heroes don't know is that the Widow has made a separate deal with Robo Corp to lead them into a trap. The earlier adventure, and the double-cross, mean the heist doesn't get as much time as I would like either in the planning or execution. Instead, it's really just a framework for Jan to prove herself and for our heroes to turn the tables on the Widow. The serious tone of the comic also may complicate matters when goofier villains get introduced as soon as next issue.
