The four-issue mini-series limps to a conclusion without much in the way on an actual conclusion which, is admittedly, a bit odd for a final issue. We are given more of the flashbacks featuring Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Iron Man where Natasha takes one for her friend allowing Clint to look better following the assassination attempt on Damon Dran and not hurt his standing with the Avengers. In the present we catch up with Hawkeye captured by Dran and arguing with the symbiote before Natasha eventually shows up for the expected save.
The comic ends with Clint and Natasha on good terms and still sharing the symbiote (but Clint still less excited about that prospect). For a mini-series that started out with an interesting enough premise but since has only limped along, Black Widow & Hawkeye needed a strong final issue to justify the mini-series. Having issue #4 be the weakest of the bunch, simply doesn't do the job leaving you mostly bored and confused as to the point of the entire enterprise.
