Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Subspace Rhapsody

Sandwiched between two darker episodes is the far lighter, and immensely enjoyable, "Subspace Rhapsody." After exposing a subspace fold to music, the crew of the Enterprise (and other ships in the nearby star systems) find themselves trapped in a musical where their emotions feed both big and brash and small and intimate musical numbers around the ship. While working for a solution, and through their own personal problems, through song, the crew need to find a solution before song angry musical Klingons arrive to make matters even worse.

The most controversial episode of the season, I guess some people just don't like fun, is a pure delight. Although "Subspace Rhapsody" doesn't feature a stand-out song, all the musical numbers fit the characters who sing them as Spock (Ethan Peck) deals with his emotions for Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush), Captain Pike (Anson Mount) works through his own relationship issues, and La'an (Christina Chong) admits the truth to Kirk (Paul Wesley) who seems to spend quite a bit of time aboard the Enterprise. The episode also notably highlight's Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) as the voice, and heart, of the Enterprise who rallies the crew for one big finale.
