The second issue of the black-and-white anthology continues the ongoing story of "Hard Shutdown" with a captive Darth Vader turning the tables on his would be tormentor Dr. Sendvall who may have found a way to immobilize the robotics of the Dark Lord of the Sith but foolishly underestimated the power of the Force (which is fun, but you wouldn't miss much from the larger story by skipping the issue).
The second issue also includes two more tales. "The Endless Mercy" feels out of place from the start with a far more horror feel than the sci-fi/fantasy of the Star Wars Universe with Dark Vader fighting his way through genetically engineered monsters created by another evil scientist. "Power" focuses not on Vader but a bullied young boy in the Outer Rim who sees what power can achieve when even those pushing him around meet the force of a squad of Stormtroopers led by Darth Vader. The back-up stories feel like those forced into a Star Wars framework than those originally created for the anthology.
