While the second issue of the new Gargoyles comic checks in with other characters including some foreshadowing about the egg in the Gargoyles possession and conversations between Antoinette Dracon and her father (who has now been released from prison), the primary story focuses on the kidnapping of the very pregnant Maggie by Thailog and Sevarius.
The second issue continues to leave breadcrumbs for new readers while attempting to not pause too often for longtime fans of the Gargoyles cartoon. Gargoyles #2 does a fairly good job of this, continuing to introduce more characters while foreshadowing the importance of some more than others. I'm not sure exactly what Thailog wants with Maggie's baby, but I don't need to be a longtime fan of the franchise to know it's probably nothing good.
