The Leverage team takes on a former actress (Brianna Brown) selling ineffective, and sometimes dangerous, supplements under the guise of a wellness guru and her money laundering money man (David Clayton Rogers) greedy to further exploit her customer data. As far as cons go, the initial bee-themed moisturizer isn't one of the show's best but things do pick-up with the secondary story involving the unscrupulous partner which forces the team to change tactics in the middle of the con, pitting the pair against each other, and even revealing the truth about the con to secure another victory.
Sophie (Gina Bellman) is a bit put off by the mark's ability to turn whatever the team throws at her to her advantage, but the team has more success with the (far more dangerous) money launderer while taking an interesting attack on his Bitcoin empire. Leverage: Redemption has given us an older, and less crazy, version of Parker (Beth Riesgraf), but it is nice to see that side of her acknowledged at one point early in the episode with her character stabbing pumpkins during the team's debrief. As Eliot (Christian Kane) notes, "maybe it's knife day?"
