Batman: The Adventures Continue Season Two #1 also brings in Deadman, who up until this point has yet to meet Batman (confirming events from this comic take place before the Justice League Unlimited episode "Dead Reckoning," while also creating a continuity error as the episode states Batman originally met Deadman while helping the spirit solve his own murder).
The addition of Deadman adds an interesting angle as he isn't able to possess the zombie Talons (who can see him), helping Batman accept their odd nature quickly (although a trip to Zatanna proves to be equally useful). Now, with Deadman's help, can Batman prevent the Court of Owls assassins from taking out any more prominent Gothamites?

It doesn't really contradict much. Both the JLU episode and this issue are referring to events from a previous comic tie-in where Deadman "worked" with Bruce and Dick (without their knowledge) to solve his own murder. Of course, this comic also contradicts other events from those comics, but the reference to Boston and Dick being on the same circus is an explicit nod to them.
