Black Widow #3

Black Widow #3 offers some answers for readers, although not to the concerned Hawkeye and Winter Soldier who are freaked out about what is going on with with Black Widow. Apparently the idyllic life Nat is living (including a biological son) was constructed by a group of super-villains in an attempt to get the super-spy off their radar for good. As comic book explanations go, it's not the most awkward idea Marvel has tried to sell, but that doesn't mean it isn't a bit odd.

Despite how well the plan has worked, Arcade, Madame Hydra, Snapdragon, Red Guardian, and Weeping Lion are at an impasse as to what comes next. Some, it seem, want further action by taking away what has been given in the most painful way possible to harm the Black Widow in ways that before could never have been done.

The action taken from the more vengeful members of the group push Black Widow a little closer to her old life, but once the dust has cleared just what version of the character will be left standing?

[Marvel, $3.99]
