Harley Quinn - A Seat At The Table

When the Gods wish to punish us, they answer our prayers. In "A Seat At The Table" Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco) has achieved everything she thinks she's ever wanted. She's a card-carrying member of the Legion of Doom who listen to her opinions. And even the Joker (Alan Tudyk) is treating her like an equal for the first time in their life. However, things are not all that the seem. First, her crew is given a less cordial reception. While Harley earns a big office, they are sent down with the goons and henchmen to be rented out to any member of the league. Second, her attempts to learn more about how to get things done within the group by spending time with the Joker neglects both the crew and Ivy (Lake Bell) who Harley had agreed to help with an environmental attack (only to show up kissing Joker on the news instead).

With all that happening, however, the real star of the episode turns out to be Bane (James Adomian). Taking a far-less menacing version of the character than in comics or The Dark Knight Rises, Bane is the whipping boy of the Legion of Doom (and it's not hard to see why). Ignored, laughed at, and fucked with, poor Bane is not having a good time. However, he does have a fix for his immediate problem by enlisting all of Harley's crew to help him "splode" a coffee show where a barista has been pissing him off daily by referring to him as Bang. Poor Bane doesn't know the Joker put the kid up to it. Despite nobody on Harley's crew having any experience with explosives, Bane sends in the character most likely to garner to the most attention to covertly place the bomb, and then doesn't wait for King Shark (Ron Funches) to exit before blowing the place up. There are a lot of personal lows for Harley over the season, but alone at the end of the episode with her team quitting and Ivy captured by the Legion of Doom who want to weaponize her powers, and getting shafted by the Joker yet again, this might be her low point of the season.
