Jessica Jones #11
For the past few issues Jessica Jones has been hunting down the identity of the person who put a hit out on Maria Hill, former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and her current client. Things got complicated when evidence seemed to suggest Hill herself was responsible and a Life Model Decoy of Hill attempted to kill Jones in her office.
The latest issue brings private eye and client together in a talky issue with flahbacks (including a secret mission recreated in the version of a throwback comic within a comic, with mixed success), Jessica kidnapping Hill's father and demanding her client pee in a cup in front of her. Just another glamorous day in the life of a super-hero P.I.
While the throwback comic idea isn't as successful as it should be, it does break the monotony of a good, but very talky, issue. Still, the highlight here is the interaction between the two woman. As to the secret Hill is keeping, and willing to kill for, I guess we'll have to wait until next month for more. Worth a look.
