Pretty Little Liars - The Glove That Rocks the Cradle

While Aria (Lucy Hale) gets her first real assignment from A.D., the rest of the Liars rally around Spencer (Troian Bellisario) who has become Marco's (Nicholas Gonzalez) number-one suspect in the murder of Archer Dunhill. Despite the Liars' attempts to obscure facts or Spencer's heartfelt plea to Marco, it doesn't seem that he's going to give up this investigation any time soon. With Aria destroying the new baby room, while also dealing with the stress of the publisher's idea for a Nicole-centric approach of Ezra's (Ian Harding) and her book, and Spencer getting grilled by her recent lover, it's hard to say which has the rougher go of things.

Events will also lead all the Liars except Hanna (Ashley Benson) to question Lucas (Brendan Robinson), who has some secrets to spill in this episode but apparently being or working for A.D. isn't one of them. Spencer may have stayed one-step ahead of the police, but the manner in which her friends solved the immediate problem only makes her look guiltier in Marco's eyes. Emotionally beat-up by her own choices, Aria comes out not much better... especially now that the police are going to widen their investigation to include Spencer's friends. The other major turning point is the show going all-in on Emison as Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) chose to go in together not just as co-parents but as a family. While it make sense from how the final season has shaken out, and Alison has come a long way from her manipulative younger self, I'm still not sold that Emily couldn't do far better.
