Shared visions and unanswered questions bring Ezra (Taylor Gray) and Maul (Sam Witwer) back together on Atollon. Traveling to Dathomir, Maul uses the Force magic of the Nightsisters to complete the visions that were interrupted once before. It seems the answers to both their questions leads to Tatooine as the show teases the possibility of an appearance by Obi-Wan Kenobi and the first animated appearance of a young farm boy destined to bring down an Empire.
Despite their inability to trust the former Sith Lord, Kanan (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) allows his apprentice to leave with Maul while following behind with Sabine (Tiya Sircar) to make sure nothing goes wrong. It's a good thing too, as Maul forgets to mention to price of the Nightsisters' magic which takes control of Ezra's friends. Letting Maul depart, Ezra manages to free both Sabine and Kanan, but Maul has a definite head start to finding the lost Jedi.
The tease of Kenobi (and possibly Luke) showing up sometime this season should definitely excite fans. The episode also has a few interesting minor pieces of information that tie back to Star Wars: The Clone Wars including Maul's shrine to Obi-Wan's lost love, and a reappearance of the Darksaber which ends up in Sabine's possession by the end of the episodes (seemingly foreshadowing something else to come).
