Five-0 is called in when a babysitter (Cassi Thomson) is abducted by a vigilante targeting those who have gotten away with crimes. Given the abductor's technical expertise, Five-0 calls in their own part-time computer genius allowing Martin Starr to return to the show as Toast, who McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) sadly rips away from his all-too-brief encounter with the alluring Ciara Hanna.
"I'ike Ke Ao" follows the basic pattern of techie criminal episodes with the hacker being untraceable until the team's own genius comes up with a brilliant move allowing Five-0 to track down the abductor and save the young woman before she meets the same fate as his prior victim. Toast's return is enjoyable, although he doesn't get much interaction with Danny (Scott Caan) this time around. The episode's B-story involving Kamekona's (Taylor Wily) new boat proves to be nothing more than filler with a joke at the would-be sailors expense to end their adventure.
