Elementary - Turn it Upside Down

When Watson's (Lucy Liu) inside man turns up dead Morland Holmes (John Noble) becomes Sherlock Holmes' (Jonny Lee Miller) prime suspect. After fuming at Watson for keeping such a dangerous secret from him for weeks, Sherlock jumps into the case and, despite what he may wish to be true, quickly proves his father wasn't behind the hiring of an amateur hitman (Yul Vazquez). The truth, however, will shock him as the show teases the possible return of a fan-favorite character in the season's remaining two episodes.

When the hitman admits to the prior murder of a research psychologist the game is truly afoot. Sherlock discovers the dead woman's theories about being able to rate severity of crime by asking a criminal a series of questions has been subverted from its original purpose in order to find and target psychopaths who might be willing to kill given the right incentive and circumstances. While the deeper mystery may not be tied to his father, the more Sherlock delves into the survey and its unintended purposes the more he begins to suspect he knows exactly who is behind the killings: Moriarty (Natalie Dormer).
