The Mediocre Dinosaur

Without question The Good Dinosaur is the weakest Pixar movie to date. Closer in tone and aspirations to The Croods or Blue Sky's Ice Age franchise, the film tells the uninspired coming of age tale of a frightened young dinosaur named Arlo (Raymond Ochoa) who is forced to grow up after being separated from his family.

The Good Dinosaur isn't a bad movie per se. It's an okay kid's film, and may mostly keep your interest, but it's certainly lackluster compared to the rest of Pixar's films - all of which are both more visually and emotionally engaging than the story of young Arlo and his pet human Spot (Jack Bright).

Available on DVD, Blu-ray, and 3D Blu-ray, extras include a digital copy of the film, audio commentary, and several short featurettes (between 2-7 minutes each) on the film, characters, and dinosaurs in the movie.

[Walt Disney Studios, 3D Blu-ray $39.99 / Blu-ray $39.99 / DVD $29.99]
