Star Wars Rebels - Shroud of Darkness

Beginning with Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Ezra (Taylor Gray) narrowly escaping an encounter with Fifth Brother (Philip Anthony-Rodriguez) and Seventh Sister (Sarah Michelle Gellar), master and student seek out the advice of Ahsoka (Ashley Eckstein) which leads the three warriors to the Jedi Temple on Lothal in an episode that foreshadows dark days for our heroes. While the episode only features two regulars and one important guest-star, it is none the less an important turning point in the season suggesting bad ends for possibly all three of the Jedi warriors.

Separated inside the temple, each Jedi faces their own visions. Ezra encounters Yoda (Frank Oz) for the first time. Kanan fights off a Jedi Temple Guard who warns of his the pull of the Dark Side on his young apprentice. And Ahsoka is visited by her former master in a sequence where she not only faces her choice to abandon her duties as a Jedi but the truth of what became of her former master. The episode ends with the disappearance of the Inquisitors (who are possibly destroyed by the temple?) and a new path for the Jedi to follow. However, it also ends on an ominous note as Darth Vader echoes the sentiment of the Temple Guard suggesting Ezra's growth in the Force will eventually be his undoing.
