After the new A's looming deadline and Aria's (Lucy Hale) injury being followed up by Alison (Sasha Pieterse) taking a hard fall on her honeymoon, circumstances will force the most impulsive of the Liars to suggest changing the game. Prepared to admit to Charlotte's murder, Hanna (Ashley Benson) enlists the help the Liars and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) to seize on the opportunity to turn the tables on their unseen nemesis by baiting a trap she believes will put an end to all their troubles.
Both risky and reckless, Hanna's plan does allow the girls to (at least temporarily) stop feeling victimized by the new A. And because the plan comes from the combination of Hanna and Caleb it prevents Spencer (Troian Bellisario) from acting as the voice of reason (unless she wants to come off jealous of her boyfriend's relationship to his ex). Of course this means Aria has to come clean with Ezra (Ian Harding) about the new tormentor in their lives.
Given the how storylines have played out in the past it's likely that Hanna's plan will not only backfire on her but on all the Liars. As for other storylines, Ezra and Aria continue their new writing partnership. Sara Harvey (Dre Davis) continues to have an odd fascination with Radley, although we still don't know what she's searching for. And Emily (Shay Mitchell) confronts Mona (Janel Parrish) about the night Charlotte died which appears to only clear Mona as a suspect (at least for now).
