Several Liars fall back into old habits, paranoia, and self-destructive behavior as the new A continues to taunt and threaten them. Aria (Lucy Hale) will get some relief in learning the truth behind a secret her father was keeping from her (but not enough to convince the Liar of his innocence in Charlotte's murder). Believing that Sara Harvey (Dre Davis) is their new tormentor, Aria will convince Spencer (Troian Bellisario) for a little old fashioned Team Sparia B&E, although the pair are surprised by what they find.
Spencer isn't only a bit out of control where Aria is concerned but she also allows the new A to manipulate her into a lunch with Yvonne (Kara Royster) which leads the Liar to also fall back into bad habits. The only boyfriend pulled back into the insanity so far, Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) will not only help Hanna (Ashley Benson) with A's demand and work on tracing A's texts back to its source but will also be tempted to go even further into his hacker roots when Spencer's questionable decision making leads him to a similar situation.
Spencer and Aria get the best of this week's episode, both dealing with their own drama and in their team-up which ends the episode on a cliffhanger. Hanna's new boyfriend continues to be too good to be true as A's blackmail lead to the Liar loosing her demanding job. As for Emily (Shay Mitchell), the show continues to set-up big moments around her secrets only to flounder time after time with anticlimactic reveals, the latest being the rather uneventful end to her hospital stay.
