The super-sized episode of Scorpion turns out to be one of the better episodes of the series as most of the Scorpion team is trapped inside a smart building with other innocent bystanders thanks to a malicious attack someone was able to introduce through Walter's (Elyes Gabel) code. Beginning with Walter getting blindsided by a mysterious woman in the opening scene who drugs him in order to install the worm on his laptop to all members of Scorpion making it out of the building alive, the extended episode finds time for each member of the team to shine including Sylvester (Ari Stidham) who manages to lock down his fear to save three children trapped along with him in the burning highrise.
Fueled by both Walter's guilt and the need to get the people out alive, the team on the inside works to try and stay one-step ahead of the virus which the true attacker has made it appear Walter is solely responsible for, leaving Cabe (Robert Patrick) and Paige (Katharine McPhee) outside the building with the task of finding the mysterious woman from the bar and tracking her back to the person truly responsible for putting dozens of lives in danger. Working together Scorpion manages to not only save everyone's lives but also clear Walter's name, although to do so Walter is forced to take several crazy chances including almost letting Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) die. We'll have to wait and see if there are any bigger repercussions from Walter's choices over the remainder of the season.
