Magic always has a price. Returned from Camelot, the our intrepid heroes attempt to get used to the new status quo with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) as the Dark One (as the audience tries to get used to her ridiculous new hairdo). While making room for King Arthur (Liam Garrigan) and his subjects who have been transported from Camelot with the same gap in their memories as our heroes, Regina (Lana Parrilla) will step-up as Storybrooke's new Savior in an attempt to save Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) from a Fury who appears in the town to exact a price for magic used in Camelot. While love and the support of friends helps save Robin's life it proves less than adequate for Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) who struggles to find a glimmer of the old Emma.
The episode's flashbacks give us a look at the group's first day and night in Camelot including Regina taking on the role of Savior, Emma saving Robin's life, and a royal ball which introduces Henry's (Jared Gilmore) first love interest (Olivia Steele Falconer). From the flashbacks it becomes clear early on that deception likely played a large royal in Emma's full dark turn. The foreshadowing from the first episode concerning the connection between the Dark One's dagger and Excalibur is confirmed in "The Price" as well suggesting the sword will play a large role in the Camelot arc.
