The First Season of Killjoys comes to a end with Alvis (Morgan Kelly) jailed and marked for death, the Company preparing to bomb Westerly into the Stone Age, Delle Seyah Kendry (Mayko Nguyen) using the genetic bomb to stage a coup, and one member of Lucy falling into Khlyen's (Rob Stewart) clutches. "Escape Velocity" is a pretty packed season finale that doesn't so much wrap-up the various threads of the show's First Season and lay the foundation for a possible Second Season.
The crew is still splintered as the season comes to an end. With D'Avin (Luke Macfarlane) captured he's going to get a very close look at Level 6 which suggests he might be a changed man by the time Johnny (Aaron Ashmore) and Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) get around to rescuing him. Just what repurcussions the pair will face for helping other flee the Company's bombardment of the planet is yet to be seen as well. Will they still be RAC Agents in good standing when the Second Season rolls around? Or will they be outcasts on the run from both friend and foe? Killjoys has been a pleasant summer surprise. Here's hoping Lucy and her crew get a chance to continue their adventures.
