Rookie Blue - Uprising

While Sam (Ben Bass) and Marlo (Rachael Ancheril) deal with a pregnancy scare at a routine doctor's office visit Andy (Missy Peregrym), Juliet (Erin Karpluk), Nick (Peter Mooney), and Gail (Charlotte Sullivan) run into trouble when a routine prisoner transfer turns into a full scale prison riot separating the group from each other and any help from the outside. The episode jumps from the hospital to the various officers inside the prison and back to 15 Division as Traci (Enuka Okuma) begins an investigation into the connection between the two prisoners scheduled to be transferred and the a disgraced prison guard who knows far more about the situation that he's revealed.

While the pregnancy and its effects on Andy and Sam's relationship continues to be the main focus of the show's B-storylines, the prison riot allows Andy to get to know Juliet far better (and catch her in lies) when one of the inmates (Romina D'Ugo) takes Officer Ward hostage. Stuck with the less violent of the two transfers, or so he thinks, Nick is outmaneuvered by a woman (Holly Deveaux) whose insane jealousy nearly leads to murder. Of the three prison storylines Gail's is the least action-packed as she finds herself on lockdown with an older inmate, but the themes of their conversations continue to push her storyline forward and even cause her to take the convict's advice and seize the day by embracing life before she becomes a full-time mother.
