Liv (Rose McIver) eating the brains of a radio talk show sex therapist leads to some unwanted advice and judgments all around while attempting to solve the woman's murder. Meanwhile Major (Robert Buckley) emerges from his overnight stay in jail (and beating) no more likely to give up the quest for the truth, something which shrinky-Liv chooses not to help him with, despite the steps Lieutenant Suzuki (Hiro Kanagawa) takes to further hide Blaine DeBeers' (David Anders) operation.
While continuing his zombie rat experimentation, which may have some serious consequences, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) becomes cross with Liv for refusing to set him up with Peyton (Aly Michalka) after the two share a moment in the police station. It's nice for the show to bring back Michalka for more than a simple cameo appearance but the subplot certainly could have been sped along in far fewer scenes. More interesting will be Ravi's attempt to woo Liv's friend while fearing he may have been infected by a zombie rat.
