Offering the return of Michael Imperioli as local barber Odell Martin, the latest episode of Hawaii Five-0 focuses largely on McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) who finds himself in a stand-off with the barber and a young man (Steven Krueger) being hunted by the Armenian mob. Trapped in the barber shop without a phone (or any neighbor capable of hearing the hundreds of shots fired), Five-0's commander manages to get all three men out alive, although a late twist puts the series of events in an entirely different perspective for McGarrett (as is evident by the episode's tearful final reaction).
With no Danny (Scott Caan) this week and McGarrett carrying the main storyline, the episode's B-story focuses on Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) and the others stepping in to help Jerry (Jorge Garcia) when their friend is wrongly identified by an eye witness as a home invader. Mostly filler, the subplot does have some fun at Jerry's expense, and to a lesser extent Max (Masi Oka) as Jerry's alibi, before Chin is able to clear him of all charges.
