There are three stories of interest in the latest episode of Hawaii Five-0 which includes the return of a recurring character and two new guest-stars. In the case of the week Five-0 works with ATF Agent Kathy Millford (Melina Kanakaredes) who has come to the island to track down a serial arsonist and murderer now setting fires in Hawaii to watch young couples burn alive. Despite lying to Five-0 about being there in an official capacity, McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and his team accept the assistance of Millford whose knowledge of the arsonist proves invaluable (and also puts her in danger when the man targets a hotel for his next arson).
The episode's B-story starts out fairly light as Danny (Scott Caan) and Amber (Lili Simmons) take time off from their respective jobs to spend a few days off the grid at a ocean-side home of one of Danny's friends. Things turn violent when Amber's abusive husband (David Hoflin) from who she fled months ago makes it to the island and tracks down the pair putting Danny in the hospital before all is said and done. The craziness doesn't appear to have cause any permanent damage to the couple suggesting we may see more of Amber in the coming weeks.
And the third storyline, which both opens and closes the episode, brings Michell Wie to the island (playing herself) who gets wrapped-up in the competition between McGarrett and Grover (Chi McBride) at a charity golf tournament, eventually even becoming McGarrett's caddy at the end of the episode. By far the lightest storyline of the episode, it's notable mostly for Grover's bragging and Wie's appearance which both help McGarrett make an unlikely run on the course to close the show.
