Forced into doing what their girlfriends want for a change, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) find themselves in a department store holding the purses of Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) while the women try on clothing. And, in a way, it was all Sheldon's idea. Although there's not much to the paper-thin concept, the situation does allow Sheldon and Leonard to hash-out what each believes are the comprises made in the name of their friendship and possibly even set Leonard and Penny one-step closer into moving in together.
The episode's other storyline involves Howard (Simon Helberg) attempting to keep Raj (Kunal Nayyar) calm while waiting for news of the Pluto probe which, if still operational, should soon relay data back to scientists on Earth. Really only a purpose for Raj to panic and Howard to offer mildly-racist reassurances, this half of "The Space Probe Disintegration" doesn't have much to say except for a mildly diverting detour involving a scientist balancing faith and fact which is quickly hijacked for a cheap laugh involving yet another overreaction by the Indian scientist.
