Not wasting any time, the latest episode of Atlantis reveals Prince Telemon (Clive Standen) treachery when he delivers Ariadne (Aiysha Hart) and her best troops into a trap laid by Pasiphae (Sarah Parish) and the Colcheans. Overwhelmed by the enemies forces, Jason, Ariadne, Pythagoras (Robert Emms), Hercules (Mark Addy), and a wounded Dion (Vincent Regan as one of the show's more under-utilized supporting characters in his final appearance) make it to safety.
After loosing another of their dwindling number the group takes refuge in forbidden tombs which Pasiphae's soldiers refuse to enter. Ending in a cliffhanger the fate of Jason and Medea (Amy Manson) is left uncertain as is the severity of the wounds of Pasiphae after she takes one of Ariadne's arrows in the side. And once again we get reference to Jason's destiny and journey suggesting Atlantis' champion's time in his adopted home may be quickly approaching an end.
Creating an opportunity to throw Jason and Ariadne out of their class-defined roles, "The Marriage of True Minds" works by reminding everyone what a perfect match they make. With Jason and Medea lost deep in the tombs, and the rest of the group left to deal with the curse, it will be interesting to see what truths may get illuminated before (likely everyone) emerges at the end of next week's episode.
