Tired of being the only unfunny member of the group, Starfire (Hynden Walch) convinces Cyborg (Khary Payton) and Beast Boy (Greg Cipes) to train her in "the comedy." Aside from dealing with the fact that Starfire joins in on the pair's mockery of the Boy Wonder's sense of humor that apparently only Raven (Tara Strong) actually enjoys, Robin (Scott Menville) becomes increasingly erratic as the delicate nature of the team's chemistry becomes unbalanced.
As Robin becomes more and more schizophrenic, acting out the various proper roles of the team by himself (and attacking the garden gnomes outside Titan Tower), the new comedic threesome realizes something has to change. Forcing Starfire out of the group and back into her old role, everything eventually returns to "normal."
Although I have issue with the moral of the tale in that Starfire isn't allowed to grow and change merely becomes the boy who likes her can't deal with it (really? that's the message you want to send to young girls?), "Uncle Jokes" provides some fun moments during Robin's joke-telling, the comedic threesome putting him down, and the Boy Wonder's ensuing insanity. Having Raven respond to Robin's humor (without defending it to her teammates) is a nice touch as the show undercuts Beast Boy and Cyborg's rather harsh argument that no one finds Robin's brand of humor amusing.
