The Big Bang Theory's Sixth Season offers Howard (Simon Helberg) time aboard the International Space Station, a girlfriend (Kate Micucci) for Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Bob Newhart in an appearance as Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) boyhood hero Professor Proton, and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) given the chance to work with Stephen Hawking.
Highlights of the season include a D&D night for our the guys and their girlfriends, a trip to Comic-Con, Alex's (Margo Harshman) crush on Leonard which Sheldon handles poorly, Leonard, Howard, and Sheldon attempting to sell science to middle school girls, Sheldon attempting to nurse Amy (Mayim Bialik) back to health, a parking space dispute, Raj hitting rock bottom, Howard and Raj spying on Sheldon, the return of Will Wheaton, Sheldon's attempt to bond with with Kripke (John Ross Bowie), and in the season's best episode Sheldon's discovery of an unopened letter to Howard from his father which brings the whole cast together in one of the series' best sequences.
The five-disc set includes all 24 episodes, interviews with astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Mike Massimino discussing Howard's time in space, the cast's live chat with astronaut Joe Acaba, a 30-minute Q&A with cast and crew, a gag reel, and a featurette on the show's various couples (and Raj).
