Annie (Piper Perabo) heads to France with Auggie's ex-wife Hanna (Michelle Ryan), who Auggie (Christopher Gorham) is surprised to learn has been working deep undercover for Arthur for seven years since faking her death, to recover the five missing stinger missiles from the Interpol agent (Carlos Leal) who appropriated them for Henry Wilcox (Gregory Itzin).
The icy partnership between Annie and Hanna isn't helped by the sudden arrival of Wilcox in France or Annie's determination to keep working the mission despite Hanna's refusal to continue. Despite her reluctance, Hanna makes good in the end, but the two women are outplayed once again by Wilcox who never let either woman get close enough to the missiles to disrupt his plans.
In the episode's B-story Auggie enlists the help of Barber (Dylan Taylor) and another tech to try and learn the location and importance of the drone image from the intelligence in Seth Newman's (Tim Griffin) apartment. The image links Henry to a known Colombian terrorist but is far from the hard evidence needed to take the man down. And back at Langley Calder Michaels (Hill Harper) continues to poke around Annie's report of her recent mission, eventually catching her in a lie.
Despite it's unfortunate title (in reference to a Pixies song), "Crackity Jones" is a memorable episode for a number of hard conversations concerning trust (between Auggie and Henry), the relationships of spies (between Auggie and Joan), and the choice between love and duty (between Annie and Hanna, and later between Annie and Auggie that ends with the couple calling it quits). In nearly every case the episode is a win for Henry Wilcox as the distrust between Calder and Annie (as well as that between Auggie and Arthur) grows, the missiles remain safely in Henry's possession, and our two lovebirds call it quits before ever really giving their relationship a chance.
