Continuum - Second Guess

Lucas' (Omari Newton) initiative into using his limited knowledge of Arc technology and the pieces of the time travel device at his disposal to drive the city into chaos on the eve of the election causes problems for nearly everyone. Privacy goes out the window, allowing the police to round-up anyone with suspicious ties to Liber8, only further escalating the tension and distrust of the status quo, and allows the press to discover a connection between Jim Martin (Tahmoh Penikett) and Sonya (Lexa Doig). Capitalizing on the chaos, Julian Randol (Richard Harmon) uses the opportunity to further push his revolutionary agenda and try to shift the blame of the attacks to Alec (Erik Knudsen).

While trying to find Lucas, Alec also does some further digging into Mr. Escher (Hugh Dillon) whose work into anti-matter could theoretically lead to reactivating and powering the time travel device which brought and the various members of Liber8 into the past. Unable to get Escher to leave his interests alone, Kellog (Stephen Lobo) tries to convince Sonya to find a more permanent solution to their common enemy. Although unsuccessful, Kellogg learns of Lucas' hallucinatory conversations with Kagame (Tony Amendola), news he decides to share with Kiera who (with Alec's help) uses the knowledge to her advantage to arrest Lucas and recover the other slivers of the time travel device.

Tired of being yanked around by Kiera, Sonya, and Travis (Roger R. Cross), Martin decides to kill three birds by one stone by getting all three of them to the same meet. With Kiera taking down Lucas the meet doesn't go quite as Martin hoped when his attempt at a bloodbath turns into a reunion for the old lovers who decide, rather than kill each other, to start working together once more. With Alec convinced to abandon the Arc technology, which Emily (Magda Apanowicz) steals rather than destroys, the increasing threat of Theseus, the public aware that the police are being privately funded and are effectively working for Escher, and the masterminds of Liber8 once again reunited, things are likely to get worse before they get better.
