After returning from a battle with a mutated giant parasitic wasp in a secret Kraang lab, the Turtles become concerned with Leonardo's (Jason Biggs) increasingly bizarre behavior and obsession with the wasp's egg which he insists on carrying back to the lair after being stung by the mother. When both of his other brothers fallen under the sway of the unborn wasp as well, it falls on Michelangelo (Greg Cipes) to finish Donatello‘s (Rob Paulsen) anti-toxin and save all three of his brothers before the wasp hatches.
Much to the utter shock of the other Turtles, Mikey is able to complete the cure and save the team, and with his brothers still woozy from the anti-toxin Mikey steps up again to save Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael (Sean Astin) from the three mutant wasps who hatch from the egg.
"Parasitica" is a nice change of pace for the show that has increasingly made Mikey the least reliable member of the group. Fans of Michelangelo should be happy as he manages to save his brothers not once but twice over the course of the episode as well as hold his own against both the brainwashed Turtles and the wasps. Of course even his unexpected heroics can't save him from Leo's wrath when he learns what Mikey did to his favorite comic book.
