Pretty Little Liars - Omega Sigma Die

College trips arrive giving both Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) an excuse to check out a lead on Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) past and that mysterious phone number, as well as begin considering what both will be doing due to Spencer missing an opportunity to get into her dream school and Emily's shot at a swimming scholarship disappearing after her shoulder injury. After getting separated from Emily, who is more concerned with possibly applying to the "podunk" college than searching for clues about Alison, Spencer stumbles upon a secret room in the sorority which raises more questions than answers.

After making Hanna's mother (Laura Leighton) look like a prime suspect in the Wilden (Bryce Johnson) murder to everyone including her own daughter, especially after a snooping Hanna (Ashley Benson) finds a revolver hidden away in her mother's closet, A moves on to targeting Aria's mother (Holly Marie Combs) beginning with a hive of bees hidden in the back of her car. Fearing her brother (Cody Christian) may have sunk her mother's plans to travel to Europe, Aria (Lucy Hale) redoubles her efforts to get Ella as far from A's attacks as possible by enlisting the help of her father (Chad Lowe) to convince his ex-wife to go on a romantic European getaway with her new boyfriend (Steve Talley).

The sorority party doesn't end well for anyone as Spencer doesn't know what to make of what she's found, Emily and Spencer have a falling out over their different objectives, and a panicked Hanna arrives to seeking her friends' helping in getting rid of the murder weapon. Feeling anxious and unable to wait any longer, Hanna sets out on her own to bury the gun in the woods only to be caught and arrested by campus security.

The final sequence, which is set up with some well-executed high-tension misdirection concerning Emily's stumbling around the dark woods, puts one of the Liars directly in the police's crosshairs by making Hanna, not her mother, the new prime suspect in Wilden's murder. Although Aria's mother may be in the clear thanks to her father stepping up for his daughter, the inevitable fallout for the Marin family doesn't look too positive moving forward.
