After their break-up, Shawn (James Roday) becomes suspicious of Juliet's (Maggie Lawson) new roommate Laura (Rachel Blanchard) who he believes is not only a crazy identity thief but may also be a murderer. With Rachael (Parminder Nagra) and Max (Mateen Devji) staying with Gus(Dulé Hill), Shawn moves in with Woody (Kurt Fuller) which doesn't go well for anyone involved.
Despite discovering dozens of identities, Lassie (Timothy Omundson) can find no evidence their murder suspect, who faked her own death, is in any real trouble with the law (or has been anything but a model roommate). Juliet begins to suspect that Laura didn't fake her death to hide from the police but the owner (Tate Ellington) of an ominous black SUV which showed up when she fled her last identity and followed her from the bar that night she disappeared.
Juliet helps Laura confront her abusive, crazed ex-husband when the episode (as Shawn points out) goes from being Single White Female to Sleeping with the Enemy. The twits works well, as does the ridiculous t-shirt Juliet is forced to wear for the second-half of the episode when Laura steals the rest of her wardrobe. Although Shawn and Juliet are still separate at the end of the episode there's a bit more of hopeful vibe than there was last week.
