Nikita - With Fire

After learning that Ari (Peter Outerbridge) is in New York, Nikita (Maggie Q) and Owen (Devon Sawa) race to grab the former head of Gogol before he's captured by the FBI. During interrogation Nikita learns Ari is on the run hunted by Interpol and has left Amanda (Melinda Clarke) who has stolen his cash reserves to use for her own ends which include arming an angst-ridden "amateur psychopath" (Piter Marek) with weapons that will be traced back to Division and facilitating his terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.

To give Nikita the name of Amanda's pawn and turn on Amanda (the woman who betrayed him, stole his money, and tried to have him killed), Ari demands $50 million from Division. As Nikita negotiates with Ari, Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca), who finally makes it back into the field, and Owen (Devon Sawa) head to the crime scene looking for any clues to the terrorist's identity while Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford) searches cell towers for hits off Division's trademark encryption hoping to get a clue to where the man might strike next.

As the attacks continue, Ryan (Noah Bean) informs Nikita and Michael (Shane West) that with the under-the-table tax money no longer flowing into Division, even if they wanted to, they have no source to draw $50 million from to meet Ari's demands. When torture, threats, and pressure don't work, Nikita falls back on honesty and discovers not only the reason for the money Ari but finally gets the name she so desperately needs. Working on information provided by Birkhoff, Alex and Owen head into the Ohio suburbs to kill one of the terrorist's henchmen in time to stop another attack.

With her plan unraveling Amanda kills her terrorist leaving enough evidence to implicate Division in his attacks. Thankfully Alex and Owen are able to clean the scene before the authorities arrive. Unable to give Ari the money to protect his son, Nikita agrees that if Ari provides all the information he knows about Amanda's operation Nikita will keep him safe and eliminate the threat to his life, once and for all. Aside from the main story, which is one of the most tense of the season and shows us just how far Amanda is willing to go to exact her revenge, "With Fire" also gives us the tragic story behind Alex's butterfly tattoo and Nikita and Michael finally putting the tragedy of the loss of his hand behind them and planning their wedding.
