Community - Economics of Marine Biology

Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) enlists the help of the Study Group to help land "a rich dumdum who will never graduate and keep dropping money into the school indefinitely." Jeff (Joel McHale) takes a bullet for the team by spending the entire day with Pierce (Chevy Chase) who the Dean doesn't want to learn Greendale is going all out to schmooze a new student.

Meanwhile, Troy (Donald Glover) and Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) show up for their first day of PE, which goes far better for Shirley than Troy, and Abed (Danny Pudi) takes on offhand remark of the Dean, who is unwilling to create a fake fraternity to help lure the party boy to choosing Greendale, to heart by embracing the spirit of Animal House and creating a fraternity of his own. Shirley helps Troy teach Chang (Ken Jeong) in a musical montage (which sounds more fun than it is) to help prove to her friend he has what it takes to be a PE teacher (something he doesn't even want to be).

Despite his earlier refusal to debase Greendale, Dean Pelton pulls out all the stops in pandering to Archie by re-imagining Greendale as a party school, hiring strippers, and even giving the young man Magnitude's (Luke Youngblood) catch phrase to seal the deal. Eventually Annie (Alison Brie) and the Dean realize they have gone too far and, like Jeff, learn their lesson. With only a couple minutes of the episode remaining the pair try and put things right in a deflating ending that sadly fits yet another episode with several strong set-ups but no real payoff.
